A: The Los Encinos Docent Association is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to the education about and preservation of Encino regio. The Los Encinos Docent Association is also recognized as Tax Exempt by the California State Franchise Tax Board. The Los Encinos Docent Association evolved from the Encino Historical Society, and will be bringing it.

The Los Encinos Docent Association (LEDA) is a small non-profit with effective community OUTREACH. For decades, LEDA has raised AWARENESS about hidden gem, Los Encinos State Historic Park (LESHP) in Encino, California. As well as other important matters in the community. LEDA promoted KNOWLEDGE about a real-life manifestation of regional history key to its mission of preservation of and education area history. LEDA garnering SUPPORT for the area, park and programs brought people to experience for themselves and persisted through challenges over the years. LEDA’s history of (OAKS) — Outreach, Awareness, Knowledge, Support brings it to a future path to preservation of and education about Encino region. As LEDA forges ahead taking inspiration from its Encino Historical Society roots, appending OAKS to its mission, engaging programs are in the future.

A: Absolutely. While many donations are designated to be used 'as needed', many donations are made for a specific project or event.

A: Supporters will be recognized on Los Encinos Docent Association related web sites, promotion materials, and virtual Gratitude section. A: Of course! Dressing in costumes is optional. Fair warning, after helping out for a couple of years, you may get the "costume bug"! There are lots of ways to help. Whether it's distributing flyers in the area to promote an event or lecture, helping facilitate say pumpkin painting in the area, helping organize Rancho Schools, or helping to manage programs and events.
